 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Q       Who can take part in the Recycling Scheme?

A        Anyone and everyone, if you are an organisation, charity, club, church of an individual we will supply you with everything you need to start you off.

 

Q       Where do we send the cartridges?

A        Under 2 kilos – send them to:

          Cash for Cartridges

          Freepost RLZL-EUJG-ZYEL

          13 Main Street

          Keyworth

          Nottingham

          NG12 5AA

 

          Over 2 kilos – Contact us on 0115 9371521 and we will arrange a Courier Collection free of charge. When calling us please quote your account number and the exact weight and dimensions of the box.

 

Q       Can I check my balance?

A        Yes, you can check your balance anytime by logging on to our website www.cashforcartridges.co.uk scroll down to the bottom of the Home Page, where is says ‘Check Account Balance’ enter your account number into the box omitting the Prefix letter ‘R’ i.e. 568

 

Q       When and how do I get paid?

A        Once your balance reaches over a credit of £25.00 a cheque will be sent to you at the end of the month

 

Q       What cartridges do you accept?

A        We accept most printer cartridges, please check the list www.cashforcartridges click on ‘Our Prices’ you will see a complete list of the cartridges we recycle and how much we pay, if the cartridges you have do not appear on this list, then we do not recycle them.

 

Q       What cartridges don’t you accept for recycling?

A        We do not accept any make of toner (these are about 12” in length),  no Epson, Brother, some Dell and Canon check the list to see if your cartridges are there www.cashforcartridges.co.uk click on ‘Prices Paid’ for an up to date list of cartridges that we recycle.

 

Q       What is the difference between a ‘Virgin’ and ‘Non-Virgin’ cartridge?

A        This refers to the condition of the cartridge. A virgin cartridge has never been filled or remanufactured and retains the original label. A non-virgin cartridge has already been refilled or remanufactured at least once and will have a third party brand on its label.

 

Q       What happens with the cartridges?

A        Once your cartridges are received they are all electronically tested, if they pass they are credited to your account, then thoroughly steam cleaned, refilled and sold on our sister website

Q       What happens to the ‘failed’ cartridges?

A        These are disposed of, should you wish the cartridges to be returned to you, please let us know as soon as possible, you will be responsible for the cost of postage on all returns.

 

Q       What happens if I send in cartridges that are not on your list?

A        All cartridges that are received that we do not recycle will be charged back to you at 20p per ink cartridge and £2.00 per toner cartridge.

Q       I want to close my account?

A        Please send us an email or contact the customer service department on 0115 9371521. Please note that account containing less than £10 upon closure will be donated to Cancer Research.

Q       What is the difference between an ink cartridge and a toner?

A       If your cartridge is bigger than the size of your hand then this is more likely to be a toner cartridge. We do not recycle toners and you will be charged if you send them to us.
