Recycling Terms & Conditions

1. Cash for Cartridges does not accept responsibility for lost or damaged items sent to us through our Freepost address or recycling bags. We suggest obtaining proof of postage, or using Royal Mail recorded delivery. Cash for cartridges is only open to UK mainland residents.

2. For returning customers, Cash for Cartridges will pay the owners of any accounts before 01/03/2019 that have reached a balance of £25 or more. If your account balance is less than £25, your total will roll over to the following month. There is no time limit for your account to reach £25. We no longer pay our for recycling we send you a recycling freepost address to send your cartridges too via our contact form.

3. IMPORTANT: Please check the list of cartridges that we accept EVERY time you recycle your empty cartridges. You can view the current list of accepted ink cartridges on our website here. If you send us any ink cartridges that are not on this list, we reserve the right to charge you per incorrect cartridge. If you have any doubts, please call us on 0845 094 9221.

4. Cash for Cartridges does not accept any toner cartridges. Toner cartridges are bulky cartridges filled with powder and are used by laser printers. Ink cartridges are filled with liquid ink. If you send us any toner cartridges, we reserve the right to charge your account.

5. We electronically test every ink cartridge you send us. If an ink cartridge you send us fails this test you will not be paid for it. You will not be charged. Failed cartridges are disposed of, should you wish the cartridges to be returned to you please let us know as soon as possible. You will be responsible for the cost of postage on all returns.

6. Empty cartridges recycled by Cash for Cartridges are subject to change without prior notice, and are updated daily. Please check the current ink cartridge recycling list before sending us your cartridges. Empty cartridges will be given a freepost address to send the cartridges.

7. Cash for Cartridges offers additional recycling boxes on request. These extra boxes will be charged at £2.50 per box, at our discretion.

8. If you wish to close your account with Cash for Cartridges please send an email to, or phone us on 0845 094 9221. Any accounts that contain less than £10 upon closure will have their funds donated to Cancer Research UK.

9. All prices on the Cash for Cartridges website are VAT inclusive at the current UK VAT rate.

10. If for any reason you ask us to re-issue a cheque, you will be charged a £5 admin fee.
