Ink Cartridge Recycling Scheme Pays For New Guide Dog To Be Trained

Sheffield Council raised £5,000 by collecting city residents’ unwanted inkjet cartridges and mobile phones. The money has now been donated to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association where it will be used to provide full care and training for one new guide dog puppy, including all its veterinary and food bills.

As well as aiding a very worthwhile cause, recycling schemes promotes the ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ ethos. We would like to thank everyone who donated. The funds that Sheffield Council has generated will make a huge difference - recycling can be life-changing in more ways then one.

Recycling schemes are really easy to setup, for more information visit our Recycling Schemes information page - Cash for Cartridges has a wide variety of schemes that suit whether you want to make money personally, for a charity, or for an organisation such as a school.
