Poppy Appeal Asks Hartlepool Residents To Recycle Ink Cartridges

Residents in Hartlepool are being asked to donate used printer ink cartridges to raise money for the Royal British Legion charity. Sian Cameron, the Hartlepool Poppy Appeal organise, is asking all businesses, schools and residents to donate ink cartridges to increase funds for the welfare of serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families.

Ms Cameron told the Peterlee Mail that there are boxes across the town where people can deposit the empty ink cartridges. She added: "People often think that the Poppy Appeal takes place just before November, but we actually fundraise all year round for the Legion. "What may appear as rubbish to some people can be re-used and can help people who really need it."

Last year Hartlepool residents raised a record £44,000 for the Legion. Why not set up your own account at Cash for Cartridges and start raising money for Poppy Appeal, or a charity of your choice.
