Recycling Not Improved from 2009 According to Studies
|
According to latest statistics by the NI Waste Management, recycling in Northern Ireland shows very little improvement compared to 2009.
Less than a third of the waste is being kept out of landfill, with official recycling targets for Northern Ireland have been set at 35% for this year, the lowest in the UK. At a time when councils need to increase their recycling rates, the fact that they have changed little compared to the same time in the previous year is a disappointment.
These latest statistics from Northern Ireland would tend to indicate that getting more people to recycle more of their waste is still a struggle. Cash For Cartridges can make it easy for anyone to reduce their environmental impact, from individuals to big businesses.
