Residents Encouraged To Recycle Used Ink Cartridges
The Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) is asking more of us to recycle our used inks and toner cartridge and improve our carbon footprint. The WRAP program encourage residents rather than emptying cartridges into waste bins to use recycling programs to cut down on the carbon footprint not only by residents but also businesses. Schemes are avalible around the country including Cash For Cartridges that encourage the population to recycle ink cartridges and in return make some money from helping the environment. It's believed that currently around 90% of household cartridges are thrown away each year, when families can use these recycling schemes such as cashforcartridges to gain that extra cash. In total reports suggest almost 300 million ink cartridges are thrown away each year in the UK.
